With over 20 years of skateboarding experience, Ryan has traveled, competed, and represented well-known brands across the UK skate scene. Starting at just 14 years old, Ryan quickly built a reputation as a versatile skater, excelling in vert, mini-ramp, and street skating. His first sponsor was the legendary Popcorn Skate Shop in Northallerton, and since then he has gone on to skate for and represent multiple brands, events, and competitions.
Welcome to Ryedale Skate School, the home of skateboarding in North Yorkshire. Founded in 2023 by Ryan Swain – a professional skateboarder, Skateboard GB registered coach, and experienced broadcaster, commentator and MC – our mission is to inspire, teach, and grow the next generation of skateboarders in a safe, fun, and all inclusive environment which is designed for all capabilities.
